Antony Beevor is a British historian and author of numerous popular history books. He is best known for his works on World War II, such as his international bestseller Stalingrad (1998), which won the Samuel Johnson Prize, the Wolfson History Prize, and the Hawthornden Prize for Literature. His other works include The Fall of Berlin 1945 (2002), D-Day: The Battle for Normandy (2009), and The Battle of Arnhem: The Deadliest Airborne Operation of World War II (2018).
