Barry Schwartz is an American psychologist and author, best known for his 2004 book The Paradox of Choice: Why More Is Less. His research focuses on the psychology of decision-making, and his work has been influential in the fields of economics, public policy, and management. He is the Dorwin Cartwright Professor of Social Theory and Social Action at Swarthmore College, and a visiting professor at New York University.
