Ben Fountain is an American writer of fiction and non-fiction. He is best known for his debut novel, Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, which was adapted into a 2016 film of the same name. He has also written the short story collections Brief Encounters with Che Guevara and The Tilted World, as well as the non-fiction book Beauty Country.
