Cher

Cher, born Cherilyn Sarkisian on May 20, 1946, is an American singer, actress, and television personality often referred to as the "Goddess of Pop". She has had an extensive career spanning six decades and is known for her distinctive voice, outlandish fashion choices, and constant reinvention, both musically and visually. Cher rose to fame as one half of the folk-rock husband-and-wife duo Sonny & Cher in the 1960s. Their hit "I Got You Babe" propelled them to stardom. As a solo artist, Cher has scored numerous hit singles, including "Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves," "Half-Breed," and "Believe," which became the biggest-selling single of 1998. Apart from music, Cher has also carved out a successful acting career, winning an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in "Moonstruck" (1987). Throughout her career, she has won a Grammy, an Emmy, an Academy Award, three Golden Globes, among others, making her one of a few artists to receive such a wide range of accolades. Cher is known for her philanthropic and political involvement as well as her social media presence, where she engages with fans and discusses various issues.
