He is the author of "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Blacker: A Memoir in Essays" and "The Art of Reading", as well as a co-founder and editor-in-chief of the popular blog "Very Smart Brothas". He is a regular contributor to ESPN, The New York Times, and The Atlantic, among other publications.
