Douglas Adams was an English author, scriptwriter, essayist, humorist, satirist and dramatist. He is best known for his The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. He also wrote Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, and co-wrote The Meaning of Liff, The Deeper Meaning of Liff, and Last Chance to See.
