Ira Levin (1929-2007) was an American novelist, playwright, and songwriter. He is best known for his novels Rosemary's Baby, The Stepford Wives, and The Boys from Brazil. He also wrote the Broadway play Deathtrap and the musicals Break a Leg and Drat! The Cat!.
