Jill Lepore is an American historian, professor, and author. She is a professor of American History at Harvard University and a staff writer for The New Yorker. She has written extensively about the history of the United States, including her books The Name of War, New York Burning, and These Truths. She is a recipient of the Bancroft Prize, the Pulitzer Prize for History, and the National Book Award.
