Luo Guanzhong was a Chinese writer who lived during the Yuan and early Ming periods, which places him approximately in the 14th century. He is best known for authoring "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" (Sānguó Yǎnyì), a historical novel that dramatizes and romanticizes the events before and during the period of the Three Kingdoms. This work is revered as one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature.
