Mara Wilson

Mara Wilson is an American actress and writer, best known for her childhood roles in the 1990s. She was born on July 24, 1987, in Los Angeles, California. Mara gained fame as a child star for her performances in several successful films, including the role of Natalie Hillard in "Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993), the lead role of Matilda Wormwood in "Matilda" (1996), which is based on the Roald Dahl novel, and Susan Walker in the 1994 remake of "Miracle on 34th Street." As Wilson grew older, she stepped away from acting and focused on writing. She has written articles for various publications and in 2016 released a memoir titled "Where Am I Now?: True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame," which details her life as a child actress and her transition away from acting, as well as her personal growth and experiences.
