Marie Brennan is an American fantasy and science fiction author. She is the author of the Lady Trent series, the Doppelganger series, and the Varekai novellas. She has also written several short stories and essays. Her work has been nominated for a variety of awards, including the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award.
