Sarah Kay

Sarah Kay is an American poet, performer, and educator known for her spoken word poetry. She rose to prominence with her captivating performances that feature a blend of personal narratives, nuanced storytelling, and a passionate delivery style. Sarah first gained widespread attention with her 2011 TED Talk that featured her poem "If I Should Have a Daughter," which has since become one of her most recognized works. In addition to performing, she is also the founder and co-director of Project V.O.I.C.E., an organization that uses spoken word poetry as a tool for education and empowerment. Sarah has published several books of poetry and continues to perform, teach, and advocate for the power of spoken word as a form of expression and connection.
