Sterling North

Sterling North (1906-1974) was an American writer, journalist, and literary critic. He is best known for his autobiographical novel Rascal, which was adapted into a 1969 film. North was born in Edgerton, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He wrote for various newspapers, including the Chicago Daily News, and wrote several books, including biographies of John Muir and Abraham Lincoln.
