Syed M. Masood is an American writer, editor and educator. He is the author of the novel The Blind Owl, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction, as well as a collection of short stories and two books of poetry. He is a professor at the University of Michigan and has taught at numerous universities across the United States. He is also a frequent contributor to The New York Times and The Atlantic.
