Thanhhà Lai is a Vietnamese American poet, novelist, and children's book author. Her work often explores the experiences of immigrants, refugees, and the Vietnamese diaspora. She is the author of the award-winning novel Inside Out & Back Again and the poetry collection The Best We Could Do.
