"Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment" is a young adult science fiction novel by James Patterson, the first in a series. It centers around a group of genetically altered children, called the Flock, who can fly thanks to their newly grown wings. They are on the run from "The School," a lab where they were created, and from Erasers, human-wolf hybrids who are also hunting them. The main character, Maximum "Max" Ride, and her flock, including Fang, Iggy, Nudge, The Gasman, and Angel, are constantly trying to survive and find out more about their origins while evading the Erasers.
