Windsong is these ham family’s summer getaway in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. From an early age, Sabrina’s looked forward to the haven of freedom from the constricting demands of her home in Bloomfield Hills with her authoritarian lawyer father and reticent mother. When their father is killed in an auto accident driving away from Windsong, Sabrina suspects foul play, but William, her older brother, dismisses her suspicions. It isn’t until her Mother’s dying words, years later, and her move to Windsong with her new husband, Llewelyn, that Sabrina again questions her parents’ strange marriage and her father’s accident. As Sabrina looks for answers from her aunt and uncle, who have taken care of Windsong, and in the local town, her aunt warns her away from her investigation. When Windsong is vandalized, Sabrina finds her father’s killer in the history of the Upper Peninsula community she loves.
