The new show on Hulu called The Clearing is based on this novel. The author is clear this novel is fiction, but it was inspired by the real life cult The Family with leader Anne Hamilton-Byrne. Book includes author interview and reading group guide. Book is in like new condition, it does have the black dot on the top edge (see photo). I had a hard time finding this book when I bought it, possibly cause it’s an Australian author.
