I bought this book while studying art in Europe in the early 2000's. This book is in French and I cannot read it. However with the full size pages and details of Brueghel's works, I really didn't care. If you have ever studied art history and wanted to see how the people celebrated and what their crowded lives were like. And how their religious allegories were represented this is the who painter shows it. From all the cakes and pies and all the hellfire that comes after. It is a great study tool. An if you read French you will probably get more out of it than I did.
